Fábio de Sá

French-Brazilian Textile Designer living in the French Southern Alps

Since I was a child I always loved art: especially drawing and painting.
I chose design as a profession so I could keep doing what I love the most: creating beauty.
I draw patterns by hand, then use computer software to assist with designs.
I also draw technical flat sketches and silhouettes for fashion and accessories.

You will find some of my personal creations on this page.

mosaïque bleu (blue mosaic)

Inspired by mosaic tiles and the color blue, this pattern was hand painted. The yellow shapes add some light and contrast. The Anthelia dress is a comfortable, smart looking outfit. It was designed by Nathalie Guichon (French dressmaker) and me. The fabric choice is an organic cotton sateen.
In greek mythology Anthelia was a water nymph.

A classical style with a personal touch.

univers bleu (blue universe)

This hand painted pattern was created with several squares of different sizes and shades, representing our abstract blue universe where everything begins and ends. The Estella dress is a chic and original outfit. Designed by Nathalie Guichon and me. The fabric is an organic cotton sateen.

Modern and graphic, it’s original and chic.

et il a fleuri (then it blossomed)

Inspired by the African paintings, I designed this pattern with vibrant colors in an ethnic touch and character. The Amarey jacket was designed specifically with this pattern in mind by Nathalie Guichon and me. Amarey is an African names which means « who possesses great strength ».

Street wear, colorful and vibrant.

one step to the future

The world was my inspiration to design this original pattern. It is intended for men who are proud of who they are, and not afraid of displaying their beliefs on their chest. Being born Brazilian, I feel the native art and culture live inside me; that’s where I come from, my roots. I created the “craziness” sweater with a cotton loopback sweat jersey for its comfort, texture, and feel.

Show us your style !

chained kites

Inspired by these geometric shapes and ethnic style, I created this pattern with kites flying in the sky, but chained in the clouds of the summer blue sky. Two other similar patterns were designed : “Fly dear bats” on a white background and “Crystals and shapes” on a brown background. The shirt Porã was designed by me and made by Nathalie Guichon and me. The choice of fabric is a 100% organic cotton poplin.

Fresh and ethnic style!

brazilian summer

Designed for summer, this pattern exudes energy! The design came to me while on a trip to Rio de Janeiro. As the surfer enjoys the wave, we can see the gondola going down from the iconic Sugar Loaf; look carefully and a parrot adds to the flavour. The t-shirt “Take a deep breath and enjoy life” will follow you during the great moments of summer season.

Enjoy summer with a Brazilian rhythm !

côte ronde mountains

Inspired by extreme freeride skiing down the Côte Ronde mountains in the ski resort Les Orres, the photographer Manu Guimont and I imagined this pattern and hoody. It is printed on a cotton loopback sweat jersey for its comfort and feel.

An invitation to freedom and to powder snow !
